Opportunities exist for exceptional graduates to apply for our one year Graduate Programme in order to achieve great things at DC. You will be exposed to hands-on job experience and problem solving skills and the opportunity to be mentored by our leading industry professionals. We will provide you with advanced skills in various areas within the ICT industry. Graduates can follow either the technical or management role. Each year DC recruits graduates from various Universities to fill graduate or internship positions in Project Management, Network Engineering, Business Development roles, to name but a few.

 

Graduates

By focusing on employees in the early stages of their career, Directory Concept’s attempts to hone in on the skills and talents portrayed by exceptional learners in the IT field. Our one year programme ensures we provide young and exceptional professionals with the most advanced skills in various areas within the ICT industry. Graduates can follow either the technical or management route. During the graduate programme, each graduate is partnered with a management-level staff member (as either a mentor or coach to guide them through the process of establishing their careers at Directory Concepts). A coach is able to give practical instruction on a day to day basis.

 

Graduate Programme

A management stream designed to fast-track one’s development in the business world

    • Runs from 1 February to 31 January each year
    • Targeted at candidates with the minimum qualification of a university degree
    • Provides functional training as part of a four to six month rotation through the various lines of businesses within Directory Concepts
    • Targeted at high quality students that are able to perform general, junior management or specialised roles two years after completion of the Programme
    • Graduates spend the first month learning about the company, meeting people and finding their feet as they transition from university to the world of work. The first month on the programme involves a variety online learning about the lines of business and methodologies of the company
    • Graduates then undergo functional and technical training as they begin a four to six month rotation through the various lines of businesses, followed by a four to six month rotation in a specific area to build competence in their area of interest. Each graduate is assigned a mentor, whose role is to support them in their work throughout the year and to provide guidance in their career decisions. Ongoing evaluation occurs throughout the year and if successful, the Graduate will exit from the Graduate programme and begin permanent placement in the business. The Graduate Internship Programme targets high quality students that can fill general or junior management roles after about two years after complexion of the programme.

     

    Internships

    Internships help to provide an effective way for students to emerge themselves in real-world projects, adapt their theory-based lessons to respond to company needs as well as get a dose of the reality of working life.
